The IRSI will take place at the Europahaus Aurich in Northern Germany, close to the North Sea. The Europahaus offers several conference rooms and has a beautiful garden. Students will be accomodated in double rooms. Due to the venue’s proximity to the North Sea, it is ideally located for excursions at the weekend.

By train
Take a train to Leer (Ostfriesl). Walk to the bus station (Leer ZOB) and take bus number 460 (direction: Aurich ZOB) or 481 (direction: Aurich) and get off at Aurich ZOB. From there, the Europahaus is only a two minutes walk away. To plan your trip and buy the tickets, please refer to www.bahn.de (available in many languages).
By car
From Bremen – Oldenburg: A28 until exit Filsum, then B 72 to Aurich
From the Ruhr area: A 31 to Leer, then B 72 via Hesel to Aurich
In Aurich: B 72 direction Emden-Norddeich until Von-Jhering-Straße; immediately behind the intersection B 72/B210 the Europahaus will appear on the right. Please also refer to this document.
By plane
The closest international airport is Bremen. Other options are Hamburg or Hannover.
From Bremen airport: Take tram S6 (direction: Universität) until Bremen main station (Hauptbahnhof)
From Hamburg airport: Take local train S1 (direction: Wedel) until Hamburg main station (Hauptbahnhof)
From Hannover airport: Take local train S5 (direction: Bad Pyrmont or Hameln or Paderborn) until Hannover main station (Hauptbahnhof)
